Post-doctoral position

Ontology alignment techniques

A postdoctoral position is available at INRIA Rhône-Alpes to contribute to the field of ontology alignment, schema matching and ontology-based interoperability.

The goal is to advance the state of the art in the development of methods for finding correspondence between ontologies and using these correspondence for taking advantage of ontologically-marked resources. It will also require evaluating the proposed methods and comparing and/or composing them with the other available methods. We currently use data analysis and semantic methods, but many other methods can contribute alignment algorithms. The successful candidate will have to coordinate work and to cooperate with the best teams in the topic in the framework of the Knowledge web European network of excellence.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or related discipline, with research background in at least one of the following: machine learning, data analysis, data and knowledge representation, web or agent technology. They must have strong interest in contributing to the state of the art in ontology alignment in the framework of the semantic web.

The position is located at INRIA Rhône-Alpes, Montbonnot (near Grenoble, France) a main computer science research lab, in a stimulating research environment. Research will be carried out in the Exmo team under the supervision of Jérôme Euzenat.

The position is for one year, with possible extension depending on performance and funding. Salary will be negotiated according to qualifications.

Applicants should email (with title "OAT Application") their CV, motivation letter and three references to Jerome . Euzenat (À) inrialpes . fr.
